This proposal, designed to revitalize Sistrunk Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, for The Institute for Community Empowerment, contains the elements needed in successful Urban Redevelopment. The Design Style created, which we named "Afro Caribbean" was intended to establish a redevelopment theme that would encourage others to bring this vital NW community artery back into prominence. It consists of Street Floor Shops, Upper Floor Offices and Apartments, all connected to a parking garage in the rear.

The members and leadership of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, at post No. 8195, have no trouble in agreeing on a "wish list", for the scope of work, of major remodeling and additions to their current, single story, warehouse style, precast concrete facility existing along a busy roadway in Hollywood, Florida.
Frimet Design Associates took great personal pride and care in "visioning" an architectural statement and image befitting the stature V.F.W. Post No. 8195 has earned in its' community.
