Our use of a Feasibility/Programming Study convinced the City who thought that the Fire Department was to be an addition to the existing police HQ, that it needed a new 32,000 SF Police Building. We later completely renovated the old Police Building into a new Fire Department HQ.

The mission, an "on the cutting edge" project type: create a unique combination of community and school satisfying the educational and recreational needs of both, in an economy with not enough money for separate facilities.

Frimet Design's talents, stability, technical competency & successes with projects of magnitude and complex scope made that goal possible.

As all things befitting, good design does not have to be expensive. That capacity to entwine the best counterparts of budget, program and form to create beauty is exemplified throughout Frimet Designs' contributions to the project.

Frimet Design's dedication to meet the goals of three uncommon partners, the School Board of Broward County, the City of Pembroke Pines, Broward County, and solve the sometimes incompatible needs of children and adults alike, resulted in a stand alone facility that skillfully condenses two overlapping uses, achieving maximum utility and cost efficiency. The solution accomplished intriguing architecture below a frugal $1.9 million budget that was established six (6) years prior to construction.

Nicknamed "Millennium Elementary", Frimet Design Associates' premier commission for the School District of Palm Beach County's first elementary school in the new millennium demonstrates this architects' design talents, bold visioning and analytical skills.

A unique ability to 'design fluidity' and the strength of the architects' schematic and educational concepts so influenced the School District that they abandoned an original mandate to remodel and expand on the existing facility (mostly built circa 1950) and instead proceed with a nearly complete replacement school.
